IMHO, all they will do is make a fork famous, probably Brave has the most momentum. The demand is too great for this to carry any weight. So in order for me, Pale Moon, in combination with a portable, feature freeze Chrome/Edge. I will not, under any circumstances, watch Youtube with ads. If indeed this gutting happens and Chrome and Edge cut off updates, I will probably pihole my network and just stop updating. I personally moved to Pale Moon, it's safe, but not the best compatibility out there and has a bit of a learning curve (forked off Firefox 3.5 UI, so more customizable, but most addons are legacy). They made all other changes in lockstep with Chrome and I'm afraid that all you're getting is a bit of time at the cost of a long migration process. Mozilla is telemetrying my pants size, pinky primise not to sell it, while hobbling their browser by making old extensions not work, redoing the UI and generally aping Chrome to the point that they are indistinguishable. I moved off recently because they are really, really not that good at it. Specially when said feature could save your ass if you accidentally clicked something you didn't want to download. You tell me if a feature being changed permanently (it is not toggable unless you mess with the ever 'will-be-removed-by-next-version' about:config settings) can be justified by an argument that uses the word "usually" in two sentences back to back. Even the element picker from uBlock Origin is available. Having to click a second time for a download to start is usually unnecessary. It is a potential security risk:įirefox no longer shows the dialog by default because downloads are usually intentional. It is not "just" a matter of "you will get used to it". A recent update (FF 98) changed dramatically how files downloaded are handled. A browser should be simple, just for viewing webpages as efficiently as possible.Sadly firefox has its head up its own ass and listen to zero feedback when it comes to their "it isn't broken, but we fixed it regardless" updates. Many browser tries to do that (Vivaldi comes to mind). I hate it when a browser tries to become an OS. I don’t need the webtorrent feature in it. I need a simple browser that offers me security and privacy. Overall the browser looks and feels like an outdated app. Click the burger menu, it’s so long hard to find something. The top bar that contains “Settings, bookmarks, history” is an eye sore. Just go to the brave settings on desktop. ![]() On phone or desktop it doesn’t feel native. On phone brave feels better, on desktop chrome. Now the problem is syncing my bookmarks across two browser, that’s the dilemma I suffer from. Even if you haven’t heard of some of these, give them a try before you decide against using them. On desktop however I prefer chrome with ublock origin over brave. In this article, I’m going to talk about several extensions that I think everyone should install. It applies to the current web site only, it is not a global power button. Go to chrome r/chrome by deleted View community ranking Every time I open Chrome with these two installed I get a Extension error. Usage: The big power button in the popup is to permanently disable/enable uBlock for the current web site. ![]() Brave on android has dark mode, ad block, old tab system, bottom toolbar etc. An efficient blocker: easy on memory and CPU footprint, and yet can load and enforce thousands more filters than other popular blockers out there. On android it is more customizable than chrome (chrome shoves it’s unnecessary features to user, which we didn’t ask for, like group tabs). What I like about brave is customizability. When I enter the settings it feel overwhelming and “too much”. Ainsi, on retrouve lextension sur Google Chrome. ![]() I like to keep my digital life minimalistic. Vous pouvez télécharger UBlock Origin sur de nombreux ordinateurs, car loutil est compatible avec la grande majorité des navigateurs web. The main reason I switched back to chrome was “look and feel”. 4 Answers Sorted by: 6 The page itself has the solution: there are buttons in there which offers you to disable temporarily or permanently the whole page blocking (aka 'strict blocking') for the current site. I was an active brave user and I have recently switched back to chrome.
